Environment volumes in octane is something I have faced a lot of problems with. Also octane does not take advantage of the CPU. The biggest Being it's unbiased rendering system, though it makes it true to physical laws, it eats up a lot of time in production. Both the renderers are pretty good, octane is amazing for quick results, so it is pretty good for working on vis dev, however octane lacks in a few parts.
